Contrasts Winter/Spring set this page off

After all my moans about work recently this week a cold has knocked me back.  Not plea for sympathy really not necessary and anyway being at home has given me lots of opportunity to play with my stamps and inks and things.

This page was pure indulgence.  All the stamps, except for the icicles, came with a Sentimentally Yours magazine.  The first part of of the layout was the row of flowers which meant lots of stamping and masking.  Then Weathered Wood DI worked over the rest of the page, the cool blue/grey colour is a representation of cool winter.

The icicles are an Artistic Stamper rubber stamp that was coloured with cool blue felt pen.  A stencil randomly placed and the Weathered Wood dusted through.  Sentiment and script came from the Sentimentally Yours set and were stamped in silver to keep the winter chill vibe going.

The flowers and butterflies were all coloured with Bruynzeel pens.  Bright bold colours to represent the colours of spring.  Well my spring garden anyway which a couple of weeks ago we a blaze of Red and Yellow.  Now spring of course is known for rain so a few raindrops were added with clear Viva gel pen.
