Lots to do - Free Theme 2nd entry

HAPPY NEW YEAR

To all the Lots to do team and bloggers make 2010 and the teens that follow great years.

Image stamped onto glossy card and corners brayered, Man and Piano coloured with Pro Markers. Vellum dry embossed with Dream Weaver Stencil, placed between image and pale gold mat then trimmed. Words punched out in vellum and stuck in place. Stars from somewhere long ago stuck on and given sakura tails.

Off out shopping now but it looks like its going to rain again..... Of course the NEW YEAR WISH is to everyone just entering the card into the free theme challenge.

Winter Wonderland - Thank You

Never entered this challange before but saying Thank you is always so important, they are also having a DT call if you are interesed visit Winter Wonderland, aka Christmas Blog Challenge for details.

Glossy card a favourite stamp and Pro Markers. Thank you another old stamp onto the same card that has been pre coloured with gold Pro Marker and blender. Gold edging using American Crafts pen.

Stampman 2009 Award

The Stampman are inviting us all to join in with a bit of holiday fun. There is a bloghop with a prize on each stop along the way, interesting and inspiring blogs to visit they are as well. We are also invited to review our own blogs for 2009 and select a favorite piece to share again here.

This blog was started in March to follow one challenge, I quickly discovered a world of challenges and from these many new blogland friends. This piece was made in response to a Something Completely Different challenge looking for Inchies with a face or faces on them. My idea was to stamp the face and gently colour it and encase it in UTEE. A cookie cutter was used to create the frame effect, the bubbles were an unexpected bonus.

Looking forward now to the challenges and inspiration that 2010 are bringing.

lots to do - LATE!!!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS everyone, hope you all had a wonderful day and that Santa brought you all you hoped for. He will have been aided if you did the shopping! Wishing you all a successful and happy 2010, thank you for visiting and looking forward to seeing all you do in the future.

Last week Lots to do set a free challange and then took off for Christmas. Well what with last minute makes catchin' up with friends and just generally lazin' did not actually make anything for the challenge until yesterday. Hilda and Sam might be kind and include it in the slide show but if not you can at least see it.

Canvas with layers of Glimmer mist growing darker to the sides, stamped with one of Inkadinkado's fabulous trailing stamps which was coloured with sakura. Dimension paste through Dreamweaver stencil, perfect pearls sprinkled onto the wet paste. Viva paste put on roughly top and bottom and smeared with Cosmic shimmer paint. More glimmer mist spots of Craftynotions rainbow glaze. Chipboard butterfly acrylic paint and more rainbow glaze then stuck onto the canvas. I've called it Summers coming.

Allsorts - Anything but a card

You might know that Masks are very popular around here! Luckly friends seem to like to re-home them, Carol is going to have this one. We went shopping for the blank several weeks ago now and it turned out she quite fancied a cat face, today was the first time I've had to see what i could make of it.

Gesso base, blue and silver acrylic paint, touches of pink! oversprayed with Pearl and Midnight blue glimmer mists. Altered glue so excited it came off the plastic in one piece and fitted round the face perfectly. Silver spray and shine wire whiskers and then gilding flakes on the altered glue, self adhesive gems around the eye sockets. The holes for the acrylic thread for hanging it up filled on one side with a gem filled brad and on the other with fibers a la Jack sparrow.

As its not a card! thought it fitted with the Allsorts challange which is anything but a card.

SCD - Butterfly tags

Something Completely Different are finishing the year this week with the last tag challenge for December and the theme of butterflies.

This tag is a little different it is butterfly shape on Anna Griffin 'Flora Collection' mat. Pattern traced with sakura glitter pen and quickie glue then sprinkled with glitter. The red butterfly is a Tattered Angle's 'chip' sprayed and then the embossed line traced over with quickie glue and greeen glitter.

Busy Busy Busy

No idea where the last couple of weeks have gone every time I thought the cards were all done I would remember someone else not all of them even got their photo taken. All done now and on their way. Thank you also to so many forum and blog land friends who have sent their cards to me so much beautiful work.

this is the inside a slightly more complicated version of the insert below. The difference is at the corners. The paper is 'In my minds eye' bargain at the Papermill sale.

Not so long ago, and maybe still active at some places, there was a chain offer inviting you to receive a hand made something in return for making the same offer for 5 people to sing up to, well you could sign up to it if you wanted but you might not have been heard signing up was better! Hilda made a beautiful canvas that you saw a couple of weeks ago. Only Julia took me up on the offer and yesterday she received this mask. Not everyone's cup of tea but Julia sent a lovely note to say how pleased she is with it, and that is what it is all about.


Maybe in the future I'll re-run the offer watch this space.

Lots to do & Incywincy - Snowflake

Second piece for today, another Christmas card! Did say that last week's snow man was the last but then Hilda set this week's Lots to do bless her she wants a snow flake or snowflakes. Well what is a girl to do?

Snowflake printed acatate, Mrs. Snowman, puff paint & a bit of torn paper. Colouring by Promarker. Different sized sticky pads used again to give Mrs. Snonwoman a rounded effect.

Just realised that this also fits Incywincy designs Where the theme is also Snowflakes. How good is that?

SCD - Marilyn Monroe

Well its December!!! when did that happen? Being a new month it is time for a change at Something completely differnt for this month the subject is tags and the theme set by Dawn is Marilyn Munroe, she's havin' a laugh!
Well Printer is playing up and not that keen on printing images anyway - it comes from working on a computer for a living. So had to resort to pencil, promarkers and hope, chose the skirt in the air draft as it is such an iconic image and guess you will identify the subject from it. Having attached the image to a tag shaped card the whole was given a quick spray of slimmer mist and the image was given a coating of glossy accents.

Board book

A while ago Hilda organsied a board book swap Lots to do . Could not complete mine in time but Sam said that she would wait for me to finish and have the book I made. Finally got it in the post on Monday and Sam received it today so now it can be shared with you all.

Lots to do - Which is your favourite Black & Greens?

Sam set a truely delicious challange over at Lots to do this time. You are asked to visit the Black & Greens site to choose your favourite flavour. Mine is Maya Gold, the colour band on the wrapper is a warm orange so I have gone for that here.

Saw these frames recently and just had to try and do something with them. Now i can cut nesties layers of overlapping circles in Black, Green and a a shimmering black/gold paper were cut and layered on. Each circle is held with a small glue dot. These were then sprayed with Gold spray and shimmer. A paper rosette/flower was torn from an autumn leaf paper held in place with a brad. Some braiding and sticky back gems have been added just for fun.
