Tuesday Tagger - Memories

Gosh Tuesday already, and the office move continues. bit of bad news today another prospective employer passed :( Still confident that something will happen.

Memories is the theme this week at Tuesday Taggers take it in any direction you want the team have do allsorts of imaginative inspiring things.

Born in Lytham St Annes and then after a short stay in Newmarket growing up in Bournemouth living now in Southampton the Sea has played a very big part in my life story. Easy then to picture a seashore memory, the lighthouse was a must have even if the location of the only lighthouse i ever saw has been forgotten we climbed the stairs to the top on a school trip so it must be on the south coast somewhere. SU stamp shells stamped and coloured with promarkers, mixed with the stamped images are small real shells. Clarity sunburst because of all those lazy hazy summer days of memory and a quick bust of GM Gold, on reflection it should have been rose coloured GM but gold is good.

The Craft Barn are sponsoring us again this week with a £15 voucher up for grabs by one lucky person. Just remember to add a little link to you post to be in with a chance to win.

Sprayed with white and iridescent gold GM and wiped off the mica settles and stayes in the brush marks. Daisys stamped in black and clear embossed, coloured with Rainbow glaze, Promarkers and Cosmic Shimmer paint cut out run through the big shot in a Dotty folder and mounted with silicon glue. Tuesday Taggers - Happy Birthday to Emma

This week its Emma's birthday and her turn to choose the theme for this week. Well as Birthday girl she wants cake and and balloons so cake and balloons she is going to get with your help. Our theme this week at Tuesday Taggers is a Birthday Card. Not a single stamp in my collection for cake and balloons but our teamie Teri came to the rescue giving us this fabulous slice of cake to use.

Printed the image onto acetate went over the outline with gold pen. Remember Plaid Gallary glass, used it on the tub below, filled the image with different colours of the plastic paint and left it to dry. Took a pretty piece of 12 x 12 and cut out different floral sections and attached these to some mirror card cut to fit the front of the card. The acatate with the now dry and translucent image cut with a nestie, a strip of acatate attaches it to the card allowing it to hang clear with light entering from both sides. Papermania dew drops in yellow added for that little extra something. Teri has done something completely different with her image and all the team have made great cards please pop over and see and share your own makes with us.

So Happy Birthday Emma have a great day and enjoy your cakes. Emma is donatng a little something for the winner this week.

This month Something Completely Different are just giving us a letter to with or on (oh now theres a thought ummmm!) This week the letter is B.
Well there were more but Birds and Bees seems a bit obvious and most of the others did'nt play nicely togather.

Bare Elements picture frame, got 4 marked down to 99p each in Papermill recently. White Gesso topped with acrylic paint in Aquamarine, Cerulean Blue, Cobalt Turquoise. Blasted with GM Marshmellow and Iridescent Gold followed by Silver spray and sparkle. While still slightly wet dabbed over with tissue to lift some of the paint layers and add a little texture. Blooms made of 'Brides Petals' from Hobby craft stuck togather and held with a pearl topped brad. Butterflies are from a CI stamp on acetate embossed in white ep tinted with blue DI and Nick Bantock inks. Little pearls of blue glitter glue on inside edge of frame. Two little Bees stamped in black ink randomly on frame 'cause Blooms Bees and Butterflies go togather.

Also entering this into Allsorts this week where Brenda set the challenge looking for Petals and Pearls. Brenda could use a bit of love at the moment so if you drop by leave her a hug.

Lots to do - embossing

Lots of friends from blogland and forumland have Birthdays this month so been sorting out little gifts. Not saying who this is for so there is still some surprise! The top is covered with metal embossed on a TSS plate and this week Hilda this week is challenging us to use an embossing method for the Lots to do challenge. Hildas own work this week is all her own she even designed and made her own embossing plate!

Bodyshop tub again, this one was Mango body cream and an orange tub. Covered all over with Alcohol inks Steam, Juniper, and Berry blended with a little copper mixative. Walnut hollow 4" square embossed on a TSS plate trimmed and glued on with glossy accents, after which it was coloured with the same alcohol inks and sprayed with Mango Lemondade Memories Mist. The 4 red flowers were punched out of Plaid glass paint smeared onto a textured acrylic plate when dry peeled off, flowers punched out and stuck on top of the metal testure side up. 5 red gems fill the centres of the swirls.

Allsorts - Make your own background

Make your own background irresistible to someone with stacks of paper pads and no idea what to do with them! So when Allsorts say make your own out come the inks.

Base card is black, sprayed with starch covered with black and white gesso starch and clingfilm as explained by Jozart. Overstamped this with B Line Nest Cube 'bird cage' in Perfect Medium and covered this with a mixed waste of Perfect Pearls currently the mix is red coloured. White vellum cut down and stamped in the same way. 'Bird on branch' from same cube stamped and embossed in gold, parts of HOTP swirl stamped and embossed in the corners. The bird has been filled with clear sparkle Sakura Pen, and then covered with glossy accents. Topper, and vellum matted onto card. Pearly pink and soft green mizukihi cord knoted to make embelishments and one little gem to symbolise the sweet song of the bird.

Back to work tomorrow, hope its been a good Easter for you.

For April Something Completely Different are simply giving us a letter to work with do what you want just base it on the letter. The first letter is W
the first thoughts that sprang to mind, a Wall hanging was coming on! Carol recently showed us Tando board subjecting it to all manner of distressing treatments it stood up to it all, well after that had to try it for myself. These 3 jigsaw pieces are one set of this sturdy stuff.

Wood stamp from Tanda in Versamark Green base of each piece. Little Clare Owls
stamped onto eclipse masking paper stuck onto metal and traced to emboss the image. Each owl cut out and attached to the board with glossy accents. Little bit of left over metal punched out to spell wood. Visa Ferro (amber gold) and Croco(Copper) spread over all three pieces. Final touches Goldfish Cosmic Shimmer and Sunflower GM. Three pieces held togather with orange brads and a little copper wire at the top with We R Memory keepers big eyelets to form the hanger.

This is also my 3rd and final piece for the Lots to do forum distress swap. It is also my second entry to the Gingersnap Copper Ginger or Rust colour challange.

Wonder if the letters will spell out a word? if its WWWW guess I've blown it!

Child's blackboard, Distressed, Altered & Copper

This A4 sized blackboard came from the Banana bookshop at the same time as the hat with the intention of distressing it for Sam's distress swap on Lots to do Forum Started it on Monday evening, finished last night (stayed up to finish it!) It seems that it will fit both Gingersnap's Copper, Ginger or Rust colour challange and Allsort's Alter/recycle week.

Wood frame washed with watered down white gesso and then sprayed with lots of blue, green and gold GMs. Viva Croco in Copper spread over top of frame and onto board WOW does that stuff crack as it dries yum. Paper perfect spread on bottom and when dry sprayed again with green and gold GM. TH bird stamped and embossed on grunge and coloured with Distress ink, flowers stamped and embossed on grunge that had been given a watered down gesso wash. Promarkers used to colour flowers the petals were then painted with Rainbow glaze. Blue Rainbow glaze painted lightly over some of the dry Croco to bring the high colour down just a little, dots of Rainbow glaze in red and blue placed randomly over the piece.

Still use it as a black board but you might not want the kids to use it now :)
