RSS came up with a great recipe this time:
C is for Christmas
Lilac, Black & Silver
A Skinny (2" x 4")
Crackle of some kind.
Wonderful colour combination. Used a duflex card for the silver stamped with Tanda's Crackle background embossed with Cosmic Shimmer lilac. Love how heating the powder caused the silver foil to crackle as well. Various other stamps stamped onto card that had been coloured using the shaving foam technique.

The first five (5) people to respond to this post will get something made by me.
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations so please read carefully:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make. Whatcha get is whatcha get.
2. What I create will be just for you, with love.
3. It’ll be done this year (2009). This is my deadline to make something you for, it may be that you want to change this to some future time such as Easter 2010. Provided you make your committment clear then no one will mind.
4. I will not give you any clue what it’s going to be. It will be something made in the real world and not something cyber. It may be weird or beautiful. Or it may be monstrous and annoying. Heck, I might bake something for you and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that’s for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something strange.
6. In return, all you need to do is post this text on your blog and make 5 things for the first 5 to respond to your blog post.
7. Send your mailing address - after I contact you.
While you're at it, check out Hilda's blog. Her work is outstanding and her journal stunning!

Its the penultimate week of Inchies over at Something completely different the challange is to include a face on your piece. Did'nt know inchies could be so interesting to make.
The face if from Rubber Stampede 'Faith' stamped in black stayzon onto a thick card inchie. It has been delicateky coloured with Sakura and perfect Pearls. The whole piece has then been encased in UTEE which then had a cookie cutter pressed into it making a frame. The bubbles in the UTEE just seem to add to the image.

Brenda set the challenge this week at Allsorts she has come up with a sketch and then she said make a Christmas card in Monochrome. Now Brenda would like us to use a single colour but walking into the village this morning designing it in my head these layers of white were very persistent so sorry Brenda but my monochrome is very white.
Diamension forth snowman, and old Anita's 'let it snow' snow flakes from stash. The snowballs are purple balls coated with gesso! and some acatate preprinted with more white snowflakes.
just realised that this fits the Daring Cardmakers challenge as well which is for something clear on your card. The acetate may be at the back but it show clear to the white card base.
Something a bit more cheerful. You might have seen a few weeks ago a Bodyshop tub that I had altered, well this is another one.
The leaves are Tanda stamps onto the waste from an acrylic paint palette and embossed with either green or gold and then cut out. Layered and decoupared onto the lid with Glossy accents, some orange glitter and gold leaf flakes were sprinkled into the wet Glossy accents, the gold leaf turned green as the stuff dried! disappointed at first but quite like the effect now. Fibers have been wrapped round the body of the tub, making a little trinkeet box.
Thought it would make a second entry into By the cute and Girly who fortunatly allow non cute types like me to enter.
Something Completely Different are challenging us to make Inchies all through October. This week the theme is Black & White. Papermania have a clear set based on the Rememberence Day poppy they are lovely stamps not of course to replace the famous poppy itself.
The main image was stamped on prescored white card and embossed in black the inch squares were cut out, some edges marked in balck others in white. the tiles were then coated with clear ep. Newspaper has been stuck to the card and lightly coated with gesso. The letters were punched out of the same newspaper.
Not one inchie then but 9. This is also my entry this week for Lots to Do where the challenge this week is to make a card!

Andrea at Lots to do is hosting a canvas swap any size theme or colour. Must be all the autumn challenges around, have come up with this.
The starting point was the fern stencil from Dream weavers but before it could go on everything else had to be chucked at the canvas including the kitchen sink (in terms of cleaning up various mess). The stamps are of course elusive images, theres glimmer mist paste all sorts to much to try to explain.
This is also my entry to the new monthly challenge by the Cute & Girly who are looking for any craft item theres jewellery, food, wall hangings canvasses its completely open and wonderful for it.

Lots to Do have come up with another great challenge. Sam usually selects something that ties in with her own projects during the week and her ideas often come from left of centre and make you think. This week 'Bright Colour' thats it go and make something of it anything you fancy.
So fancied using the cuttlebug jigsaw die with different colours. Layer these on some of the blue card used for the cube below and mount on a black card. Stamp with an hold Hero arts tree stamp in Ranger Ice cap white emboss with holographic, this cancells the white! Fill in tree with gold pen. Stamp Greetings on heat resits acatate and emboss in white attach with brads.
During October Something completely different are looking for inchies. This week the theme is Birds.
Started with a 4" square was planning on cutting it into inchies and then laying tehm out to reform an image. stamped it up with a stampin' up image of birds and swirles in white and then in black. Another matching bird was stamped in glue and covered with gilding flakes finally Clarity stamps flock of birds was stamped in red. Then it dawned on me that another cube was sitting there so cut it out. The gilded bird was cut in half so one of the flocks and one of the other birds was gilded, all gilded birds covered with glossy accents. Finally Viva Ferro was rubbed around some of the edges.

Red card cut and scored to make the box. images stamped and embossed part filled in with sakura. The box was glued with Collall, silcone would not do the job! Shrink plastic dragon stamped with stayzon red sakura highlights added. The tassell came from stash of trimmings collected here and there.

Well here it is Z the zenith of the Alphabet Challenge unless we are going to start all over again next week!
So Z is for Zulu. It could have been Zoological or Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance or giving it zed's all of which were considered. Quite fancied Zen but no motorcycle images thought I'd leave that one to Linda.
Had to have a Zebra and started with A for Aries so Zodiac was in & its my initial hence the little wax seal. Primarily Z is for Zulu. At least on this little skinny

Finally managed to make this little card will be a good Birthday card for an autumn birthday. Allsorts this week have an Autumn Days theme. While Lots to do are using Black Orange and one other.
Black card some old Stampendous leaf images and Perfect pearls in copper and kiwi. The same set of stamps provided the pattern for the metal leaves worked in green coated metal partially rubbed with sunset orange alcohol ink and wrapped with a little orange coated wire. The topper is a Hero Arts fall tree worked with the same perfect pearls as the background the wire wrapping the leaves has also wrapped the topper and linking the leaves.
