Saturday turned out surprisingly nice after a wet night and dull morning wish it had not looked like rain first thing I'd have risked the garden.   Still there is always later today, after daybreak!

Had a little play instead, the latest challenge to tax us from Less is More is to used fruit and or the colour of fruit.    Honestly fruit! just a little more thought provoking than some of have been.   A little head scratching until I remembered some stamps Sue Law drew a couple of years back, Sue very kindly let Andrew run off a plate for me as well.   All sorts of things on this plate including the citrus fruit.

Decided on a DL card with Oranges and Limes because I like the colours.  Sorted the design and made a couple of masks to allow the fruit slices to overlap.    Coloured the fruit with Marvy La Plume solvent pens.    The sentiment stamped in Brilliance Inks is from Stampin' up.

Brandy and Orange would go down rather well about now.

10 minute tag

This week Tag Tuesday have set a real fun challenge, it is to make a tag in no more than 10 minute's.   Gather the materials and then time yourself to make your tag.

I've used DI spun suger, Victorian Velvet and Dusty Concord for the base tag which was crumpled before the third colour was touched over it.   The Clarity stamp hummingbirds the Fiskers bubbles and Andy Skinner Sentiment were all stamped with Brilliance Inks.  That is it a 10 minute make, the little Fiskers Stamp and the Andy Skinner Sentiment are available from Craft Room.

The Cheerful Stamp pad have a theme currently 'going round in circles' lots of circles here.
Frosted Designs are also looking for circles.

My book of Tando, Session 4 and Gingersnaps Trains and Planes

Firstly some exciting news Starting on Monday the 1st August the new Tando Creative Challenge starts!   Cannot tell you very much yet it is still under wraps but there will be prizes and the Tando Creative Team are all being kept busy making samples!   If you want to register as a follower of the site you can here and never miss a thing.

Its all go at Tando at the moment, being Friday it is time for the next installment of My book of Tando on Tando Creative Online Classes.   Just a short session this week to draw breath as we reach the half way mark, would love you to drop by and join in.
This is the page we will be working on.

Allsorts of things going on at the moment crafting is one but some days its been getting squeezed out a bit!   Shocking I know.

July at Gingersnaps is focusing on machines and steampunk.   The Random Redhead challenge is Planes and Trains.

Could not see a card or paper project for this one, casting around this clock that has been in the to be altered pile for over a year suggested its self.   It was shiny silver coloured brushed aluminium so first of all that had to be toned down with alcohol inks and Coffee Archival refill ink.   The Biplanes and Steam train are Tanda stamps in Stayzon on metal.   Clock dial and cogs are also metal die cuts.   The other stamps which were stamped in Stayzon directly onto the clock are from the first set of clear stamps I ever owned.

Thursday, 28 July 2011

This week is the last of our July material based themes at Just for Fun.   Amazingly it is also Week 26 when did that happen!   To all of you who joined us last week with Metal thank you such talented and fun people join us and we love you for it.

This week the prompt is Fabric and Fiber.  Now this month yours truly has been setting the challenges and as you might know she does not sew or knit or do anything with fabric and fiber so what was I thinking of!

This is the third canvas in a set and is intended to suggest the party.    Distress stain over the canvas, which was then stamped with Venice masquerade themed stamps.   A matching stencil has Dream Weaver embossing paste spread through it and the canvas between the paste coloured with Cosmic Shimmer drawing inks.    Some fibers have been spiraled over a card disc, others have been wrapped round punched out flower shapes the lose ends stuck over the canvas as the light and movement and fizz of the party.
Here are the three canvasses from this and the previous three themes.

Fortunately Von, Sam and Neet are all much more skilled with fabric and fiber so please do check the challenge site and their work.   If you have any project in mind to share with us we would love to see it.

Dragon's Dream Tag it on - Pressing Matters

Hello there, it's Wednesday must be Dragon's Dream TIO!   After all the great sky themed tags we saw last week really looking forward to seeing what people will do this week.   It is Helen's turn this week to give us our dream, Helen's choice is all about embossing.    Any type of embossing you are comfortable with, just remember to use a rubber/clear stamp on your tag somewhere.

For my sample piece a mix of DI's coloured the base tag that was then embossed in a folder and a another DI pad touched over the top to highlight the embossing.   Vellum cut with Paper Artsy flower dies, stamped and heat embossed with with Cosmic shimmer.   The petals snipped down to the center and and rolled backwards.    Tando Bird Cage cage triple heat embossed to make a gilded cage, the two birds in the set coloured with Cosmic Shimmer spray, and them stamped with one of the Paper Artsy stamps used on the flower.

Do check out the rest of the team's samples fabulous work to be seen again this week.   Of course we also hope you will get your embossing tools, folders and/or embossing powers out and join in at Dragon's Dream TIO.

Craft Room Challenge - Summer Holidays

Hiya, did you join in with us at Craft-Room Challenge last time?   So many lovely butterflies it was great seeing them all.

This time Hazel has chosen the theme and with the school holidays starting now her choice is most apt.   this fortnight at Craft-Room Challenge we are looking at Summer Holidays.  Make anything you want that has reference to the prompt.

My offering this time is a Post Card, made of glossy card stock.    The Tanda advert plate for Dorset was stamped in black Memento and masked.   Next the great Personal Impressions plate of shells, had to line this up and stamp it twice.   With the mask still in place the background was coloured with DI in seaside like colours.    Now the mask was removed and Pro Markers  used to colour the main image.

Are you inspired to share a Summer Holiday project with us if you need more inspiration check out what the team have made they are an impressive group at Craft-Room Challenge.

Adding this to Daring Cardmakers    -   Wish you were here

Tanda 176 - Acetate

Another tag for the book! and of course its inspired by Tanda Teaser, acetate, set by Sue and also Tag Tuesday, butterflies, set by Rebecca.

Started with an ordinary buff tag sprayed with Cosmic Shimmer in Emerald and Midnight blue.   Love these two colours and the CS shimmer.   Using Tanda Butterfly plate in it's entirety stamped and silver embossed the tag.    Using the same stamp and ep made an acetate overlay  which is stuck to some woven mat with silicone dots.   Prima flowers sprayed and attached to topper or tag with gem topped brads.   Just one brad holds the topper to the base tag allowing the acetate to be offset and the tag images to show.   Some of that scrummy Blue/Green ribbon

That's better a little less is more

Not very Inky but something to keep the hands occupied while watching Mr. H drive very nice circuits to win his race very tidily.  Unfortunately his car forced Mr B to retire again.

So while all this interesting action was being played out on the TV I sat watching it with some paper scissors glue and buttons.

The theme this week at Less is More, is Button or Ribbon, or plurals thereof.   The great expanse of space is red not white.   Running down the left side three strips of Brown velvet ribbon.  Stuck on top of the middle ribbon paper print of buttons, cut out so just the buttons are included.   On top of this and the other strips of ribbon real buttons all of which are cream/off white.   A couple more buttons strayed onto the great red expanse and a little Organza ribbon bow tops the card.   As always will have to wait now to see what Chrissie and Mandi make of it.

The colour combination Red and Brown is rather a good one and is the subject of a new to me challenge Annabelle Stamps where the colour theme is Red, Chocolate and Cream.

Feeling better now so guess the evening is mine, and it could be inky!

What no blogging and no crafting!

If you have grown accustomed to something new here everyday you will have been disappointed yesterday.   Not only did I not blog but no crafting took place at all!   There was some on Friday but that cannot be shared with you just yet :(

Have been visiting the Charity shops again and bagged these for altering.   Have really enjoyed the first two torso's and thought this padded and fabric covered one offers all sorts of opportunities.   The utensil tin will ultimately be useful storage but before then it will get a little refurb.  The mirror that offers all sorts of ideas.   no idea when all this will take place but have been using the stock of to be altered recently needed to replenish.

Hoping to get a little inky after a good nights sleep.

Just for Fun - Metal

Thursday again! and time for another week of Just for Fun!    There were amazing corrugated card creations last week and some formally neat and clean crafters got wonderfully grungy!

So the Material this week is Metal.   This is another 8" square box Canvas with Weathered Wood distress Stain for the background.   Along the top Wild Honey Distress Stain.   The stamps are from Creative Expression in Versamark.    The same mask as last weeks but this is very much the afternoon before.   Used Dreamweaver embossing paste in black for the mask with Perfect Pearls sprinkled over the wet paste.    Viva Terra paste down side touched with various paints.

The Metal is Ten Seconds Studio cut with TH Clock  face, same die provides the hands held in place with a brad.

Metal is great fun to use and there is bound to be some around your home that you can give a featured role in your piece.   The team have made wonderful samples again we hope you will join us at Just for Fun.

I've seen that Tuesday Throwdown is looking for metal projects this week hope this canvas qualifies.

Dragon's Dream Tag it on - Look to the Sky's

No surprise that the 'all things Tim' was popular last week.   There were some great takes on the theme it is always fun to come and see, thank you.

This week it's Elizabeth's turn to have a little nap and dream up a challenge dream for us all to follow.   The dream? why it is Dragon's Dream TIO of course, and Elizabeth's Dream is Look to the Skies.

Years ago when planes and things were not quite such a common sight in the skies or at least not over Newmarket where we lived at the time, My mother used to thrill at the sight of airplanes pointing upward and saying look!   So Look to the skies evokes memories of man made objects in the air.    For the tag hot air balloons seemed more fun and these Clarity stamps seem perfect.

Using glossy card cut to tag shape and brayered with Big 'n Juicy 'Waterfall' then stamped using Memento.   The balloon's were coloured with Viva Gloss Gel.   A piece of acetate cut to the tags size and stamped with Brown Stayzon.

Check out what the team have made for the theme at Dragon's Dream TIO.   We are all looking forward to seeing your take on the theme.

A little more LIM

On Saturday's a new challenge is set for us by Chrissie and Mandy of Less is More fame.   This week's theme is Circles and must include more than one circle.

Clean and Simple can look really striking but once you have the design in your mind's eye they are generally quick to put together.   This weekly challenge is fun but perhaps not as fulfilling as some of the inky messy grungy things you see here.   That said last Saturday saw me looking through my Tanda Stamps where there are lots of circles, these are the second and third cards made for the challenge.

Red card stock stamped in black and clear embossed with a Dragon from Dragons and Fantasy Set 1.    Greeting from Birthday Verses and then just a row of brads down the side.

Thank you Netty for suggesting that this would fit with Three Muses oriental theme.  Not entered this challenge before!

The second card is made using another stamp from the Far East 4 set and coloured with La Plume solvent based pens.   This time both the cat and the flowers are orange.   The additional circles are flat back jelly gems, and another greeting from Birthday Verses.

I find myself wondering what next Saturday will bring!

In the Style of Piet Mondrian

Some days things just fall into place, and after an extra dull day yesterday finding these two challenge's gave me the opportunity to do something I've been thinking of for a while.

The first Challenge, Daring Cardmakers, sends us on a journey of inspiration using Pinterest to find our muse.   It's an interesting place full of inspiration boards put together by various people.   While browsing came across images inspired by Piet Mondrian.    His clean geometrical blocks of colour, most notable in primary colours, are very attractive and for a while now it has been in my mind to make a card in this style.

Thinking about colours reminded me of this week's Play Date Cafe colour challenge with glorious juicy colours.   The colours they list are Orangesicle, Fuchsia, and Eggplant.  Went rummaging in my Pro Markers box for suitable replacements and used Orange, Aubergine and Pink Carnation over Orchid. Hope these are acceptable replacements.

Sunday evening recreation

About 5 pm on Sunday a friend emailed to ask if I had finished creating for the day, not done a thing said I but beginning to get an idea.  To be frank kinda knew what I wanted to use but had no idea how or what the result would be, does anyone else do that start something with no idea of the finish?

To make it more challenge this has been made as a step by step show and tell for the Craft-Room, which is where many of the things used came from.   I'll spare you the details here you can see it is an assemblage of various grungy things inked, stamped and generally distressed.

Less is More - Circles

Well what a wash out Saturday was, those were heavy showers the sort of summer rain that dances on the road and will  soak you to the skin in a moment but in a good way.   Still managed to have a little play some of it will have to wait for another day.

But can share this one.   La Diva's at Less is More have set a theme this week, Circles please note plural more than one circle.    For this a rummage on one of my bags of Tanda stamps offered lots of ideas.  Opted for Far East 4 and Birthday Verses.   Stamped in black and clear embossed.   Cat scene at the top coloured with La Plume solvent based pens.

The fly from the Far East set fits the greeting circle really neatly and gives a focus for the cats gaze.   Well if it were one of the IMPS it would.    Enjoy your Sunday.

More Steampunk and another Thank you!

Yesterday morning this little 3.5 sq. inch box was plain wood.   Now it is a little Steampunked up.

Gingersnap's latest spicy supply challenge is 'Cogs, Gears and Watch parts'.   Add to which their over-riding theme for July is Steampunk.

It is also a new challenge at The Stamp man, Anything by T!m.  As it turned out quite a few products with his name on them were used on this.

Box painted with Distress Stain, Walnut Stain.   Two applications to get a good dark colour, the nooks and carnies were coloured with the same stain transferred to a makeup sponge.    TSS metal and cog plate worked up to provide the lid cover.   For a while I've been wanting to make a piece with layers of cogs.   With the metal embossed with cogs as a base using the same metal and the TH/Sizzix Cogs die cut two of the smallest and one medium cog cut.    Black Alcohol ink touched over die cuts and embossed plate.   Embossed plate filled on the reverse with Glossy accents and card stock over that, once dry it was stuck to the wood lit with red line tape, not Ranger this time.     Tissue tape wrapped round box, lid and base.    Silicone glue holds the die cuts raised over the base and two winders from a dismantled clock stuck in the middle.   Top and sides of the box further embellished with finds from here and there, cogs and other parts from dismantled watches, a nail head split pin, florist wire and a very grungy 20p piece i found on the street a while ago.

Am also entering this box into

Another Tag

How is your day going?   Mines been pretty good so far.

Made a little tag in Orange and Black for Tag Tuesday   Love the colour contrast black and any bright bold colour looks good.    Ordinary tag coloured with Wild Honey Distress Stain and then embossed with a cuttlebug folder.    Distress ink Black Soot tapped onto a craft mat and then the embossed tag lightly swiped over it to colour the raised areas.    The little bee is from SU stamped in black soot.    Three Prima flowers, one coloured with the Distress Stain and two coloured with black soot.

No lace or ribbon in the top as this will join Wednesday's tags on the D ring.   There is a strip of black lace along the bottom.

Just for Fun - Materials Corrugated Card

What a surprise last week, it never occurred to me that people would find Acrylic/Plastic a real challenge, it was a real shock to read how many people found it difficult!

This week at Just for Fun continuing our month of featured materials we are looking for Corrugated Card as the significant material.   This 8 inch square box canvas is one of three used for this month's challenges.   The idea is the morning after with a heavy sky, the discarded mask is beginning to disintegrate.   Green Sky Peeled Paint Distress Stain. Metal Disc embossed with texture fade water splash, the car is from Creative Expressions.

It was Sam who first got me into corrugated card now well just love the stuff.   Have you tried it?   Will you share a project with us using corrugated card?   Looking for more inspiration?   check out what the other's made as their samples on Just for Fun.

Dragon's Dream Tag it on - Project Tim Holtz

There were some fabulous tags to be seen last week, Thank you.

This week Dragon's Dream TIO is led by Frankie who you may know is a great Tim Holtz fan.   This week Frankie has asked us to use a Tim technique or Ranger product to generally be inspired by these.

Not being such a TH fan this was quite a challenge for me until going to the Green Grocer for book rings and ending up with TH D rings.  Why one tag why not start a tag book using a D Ring.   Using Peeled Paint, Stormy Sky, Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo DI  the bottom tag was made using the double distress technique changing it and colouring the tag first with Peeled Paint Distress Stain.   The next tag coloured with Scribble Stain Distress stamped with the wonderful bird beer can die cut heart added topped with tissue tape. Top tag cut using another TH die cut and then swiped across the craft mat with the ink from the previous tags.   This one was stamped with the ledger numbers to match the embossing folder used on the first tag.   All three threaded on to ball chain together with a the little metal tag.   The grunge paper wings are not from a TH die it is Sizzix and one of my favourites.   Umm perhaps I have a bit more TH stuff than I realise LOL.

Will you join us this week with a Tim Holtz themed tag with at least one rubber/clear stamp one it, all of us at Dragon's Dream TIO look forward to visiting and seeing all your tags.

Flight of Butterfly's

After two weeks of beautiful Summer Birthday cards it is time for a new challenge at Craft-Room Challenge.   This time the theme has been chosen by Debi who as a New Zealander is in the depth of winter and dreaming of Summer.

Debi  was inspired by these words and the Butterfly project "The Butterfly's attractiveness derives not only from colours and symmetry: deeper motives contribute to it. We would not think them so beautiful if they did not fly, or if they flew straight and briskly like bees, or if they stung, or above all if they did not enact the perturbing mystery of metamorphosis: the latter assumes in our eyes the value of a badly decoded message, a symbol, a sign."

You might like to check this out and if you are interested send a butterfly of your own.

For my sample this week a paper mache torso has been coloured with various DI inks and then stamped and embossed with Andy Skinner stamps finally a spray of gold Spray and Sparkle.   The Acetate Butterfly's that have landed on the torso are all gold embosses using Andy's Batik Garden set.

If it were Minx investigating this i would understand Minx collects butterfly's LOL Izhe who is in the picture is just jealous of the torso or anything else that gets my attention.

The girls have all made wonderful and inspiring samples using butterflies as their inspiration and theme if you like what you see please tell them and share you own creation with  us at Craft-Room Challenge.   There is also a £10 voucher for our sponsor Craft-Room up for grabs in the random draw but check the rules to see how to qualify.

Another FP Mask

Finally the mask forms turned up from C&C on Saturday, flattened so they all now have a crease down the middle and bend easily.   Should send them back but just wanted to make this one up that I got on with it.

Painted the basic form gold.   Cut up three sticks of FP Bronze, red and lime and well played around.   loads of room for improvement, especially with the ribbon.   Problem is I do not practice the technique enough that gives me a good reason to play more doesn't it?

Basically made for my pleasure still seems to fit.

One layer with legs

Well after a dull start Saturday turned out nice! Shame it was wet all week.   What will the weather hold today for Silverstone?   Rooting for Mr. Di Rosi who has driven himself into the top 10 on the grid.

Think the La Blanche stamp I used on this card is designed to evoke a pre car era.  The image always puts me in mind of black beauty, but black would be to harsh to ink it in.    I have used Versafine Vintage Sepia and then water-colour pencils to add a little more depth.    I've been a fan of these foam backed stamps for a long time now the amount of detail and excellent image really appeals.

First off this is for Less is More, it is one layer week and the comedienne's who host the challenge and set our tasks have asked for things with legs as the image.   It has been noted that just a head or chair back will be accepted but here you ask for legs you get legs, 8 of them!

Steampunk on the Road

Started bouncing for joy on Wednesday when the first of the July Steampunk challenge's at Gingersnaps was published.   Knew it would be great its Steampunk all month long, for this the first week the theme is 'On the Road'.

The Creative Expression bicycle is the road vehicle but to make peddling easier it has wings now from Viva.   the top layer and mirror card mat are Kanban I know but they came with some great stamps one of which was used on the base.   The card was coloured with DI Old Paper, Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo, all the stamping black Archival.   The balloon mask was coloured over with more Rusty Hinge.   More of that fabulous florist wire a plastic cog coloured with rub on colour washer and loose screw from the hardware shop, cogs from a clock and the resisters from Vintage Supply Company

Just for Fun - Material Month

What a busy week last week was with so many Just for Fun entries for our Anything goes week.   A mixed bag of styles interesting to see if perhaps a little cuter than we really get into, thank you.

This month it is my turn to set the challenges and each week it will be a different material we are for our challenge.    For this week it is Acrylic/Plastic that is the significant material.

I cannot remember what my thoughts were when I came up with this but it almost certainly was not earrings.   When it came to actually making a sample the TH fragments were the obvious choice which led to earrings.   Tapestry stamps with bright Stayzon inks are the main drops.  A little acrylic thread some seed beads and earring findings.   Fiddly but fun.

Sam, Von and Neet have come up with very different samples hope you will visit to see them.   If we tempt you to join in the fun we will enjoy sharing with you.

Dragon's Dream Tag it on - The age of Chivalry

Thank you for dreaming of the sea with us last week it was lovely to see all your tags.

Now it is time for a new theme at Dragon's Dream TIO this week is Janet's turn to lead the dream with a theme of the Age of Chivalry!   Yep it is a little challenging well that's how it seemed to me.   Turned to my collection of Tanda stamps and the medieval set, a useful collection for a theme like this.

George slaying the dragon stamped with Momento onto white card the cross of St. George in red Pro Marker.    Buff tag coloured with Old Paper, Aged Mahogany and Vintage Photo over more black stamped images.   Old Paper used on the edges of the George and the Dragon image.

In the end it was a quick and easy tag.   Will you pop over to the challenge site to see what the rest of the team came up with and maybe add your own tag, if you do please remember to use at least one rubber/clear stamp.

Red and Brown are Hot!

I've been sorting my scrap mountain and came across a piece of brown card just the right size to make a tent fold card.   Then there were the paper's left over from Lady in red the other day the reds and the brown look so right together.

The main image is Penny Black 'Youthful' coloured with Pro Markers and stamped onto white card.   The edges of the card have been coloured with Nick Bentock inks the greeting is also Penny black.

The red flowers are have wire stems and flat back pearl centers. Vellum leaf spray, organza bow recoloured with solvent pen.   Just a simple strip of brown lace along the bottom.

Have to enter this into this month's http://pennyblackatallsorts.blogspot.com/ where the theme is floral.

To save Brenda's eye's I'll enter it in Sir Stampalot as well they have a month of Anything goes.

It's a bit bright

What a lovely week-end we have just had lots of sun and washing drying on the line.  Got me into bright and bold mode.

This tag is corrugated card heavy duty card with a double layer of corrugations the eyelet really squished it!   Spray the card with Cosmic Shimmer and that wonderful shade of blue.   For the flower I had to upset the IMPS their packets of wet food (they share a packet a day as a treat) comes 12 packets in a box.  You guessed it I needed the box for the finer corrugated card.  Poor mistreated little things thought they were getting a second treat could not understand why I wanted their box.    Stripped the top layer off the card and cut it with a flower die in the big shot.   One of the things that is so brilliant about the Bigz dies is that they will cut just about anything.   More Cosmic shimmer coloured the flower layers and the Tando Branch.

Tando bird cage and Tando bird also blasted with Cosmic Shimmer sprays.  You cannot see the shimmer in the picture but these sprays all have a lovely sheen to them.   Nestie die cut for the scallop circle stamped with an Andy Skinner stamp from his words set.   Distress inks used to colour the sentiment tag and to stamp it.  A TH pin attaches it to the corrugated card base.

Just a quick share this morning, Less is More have a colour challenge this week the colour is Blue.  Not a bad colour but as is often the way it took time to think up the design and then 5 minuets to make.

Three swipes with studio G ink pad.   DI Chipped Sapphire used with SU stamps and we are done.

A couple of people have asked about the number of blogs listed on my profile page!  Its not as complicated as it looks really.

Tangled Den is for my ZIA tangles just thought it was easier to keep them separate from here.

Technique Zone is Sam's.   Some of the Tutorials on Just for Fun come from there I just copy the HTML.    Just for Fun is an Inky Altered Messy weekly challenge, that is just for fun.

Dragon's Den TIO this is Frankie's weekly Tag challenge where I'm on the DT.

Tando Creative  and Tando Creative online Class are both for Tando chipboard.  The team add samples of this great chipboard on a when and as basis.  The online Class is new with a 'My book of Tando' Project starting next Friday for 8 weeks.   Tando led to my meeting Julia who owns Craft-Room and start designing for her and we started a fortnightly challenge, Craft-Room Challenge sponsored by the shop.

Not so complicated when you break it down only two weekly commitments plus one more every other week.   How many challenges a week do you join in with :)

Lady in Red

The song was playing in my head all day on Friday while I was making this card.   The Gingersnap blue moon challenge for June inspired this with their theme of 3 papers, 3 words and 3 buttons.

The lady in question is one of Barbara Gray's Clarity Stamps gold ep and coloured with ProMarkers.   The Nestie cut mat that she is on has been edged with gold leaf pen.   The three papers are two printed ones from an old Trimcraft pad and the plain red one also nestie cut.    Three buttons are actually old gold coloured from something or other long ago, they are loop backed making it easy to thread the ribbon through.   The words have been punched out of vellum, the D punch has lost it's middle but think it is still clearly a D.   White roses coloured with the gold pen and leaves sprays also punched vellum.

CCEE Stampers   -   Use die cutter, if you have an electric one you must use it (Marie this is one for you!) I don't just my good and trusty Big Shot.
Fab 'n' Funky   -   Looking for Triangle's there are 2 the backing paper on the right is a triangle and the three paper flowers on the left are arranged in a triangle.
I Love Promarkers   -   Flowers
The Paper Shelter   -   Anything goes
Stampavie and more   -   More than three layers
Oldie But a Goodie   -   Anything goes (Stamp must be more than 6 months old)
Craft your passion   -   Use Red
The Crazy Challenge   -   Beautiful Women
Hooked on Craft   -   Flowers
KB Cute Monday   -   Flowers

Something a bit special

Well for me anyway!

and I am just so excited to share this with you.  Starting next Friday and over the following 8 week's at Tando's new Tando Creatives On Line Class you will see a different page from my book of Tando.

A couple of week's back I mentioned to Di that my plan to make a book using 6 inch square sheets of Tando.  Di asked if it could be a series on the Tando blog, then a bit later she asked me if it could be a series of on line classes to start a new site!   Could it? Oh yes!   So now I am busy making the pages and taking lots of pictures as I go.

Each week we will be sharing with you a page from my Book of Tando.  With pictures and descriptions of each step you are invited to work along with me to make your own book.    You probably already have to hand most of the materials you will need but just to let you check I used;

6" x 6" squares of thick Tando (8 of these to make the whole book)
Tando Book Plates
Tando Bird and Branch (8 in a set 1 on each page)
Tando Music Mask
Shaving foam
Various inks, alcohol, inkabilities, sprays
Die Punch letters
Andy Skinner Stamps (Batik set)
Acrylic block
Distress stains, Peeled Paint
Adirondack Express dye pad
A plastic ruler
A plastic non porous place mat (actually it's a mat to put under a cats feed bowl on the floor so sturdy)
Modge Podge
A fast drying strong adhesive
Various Cosmic Shimmer Embossing powders
Sakura Gold pen-touch
Pokey tool
Heat gun
Water brush
Kitchen towel

So gather your supplies and check back on the 8th July to join in with some good old fashioned inky, messy fun.   Oh and you might want thin rubber gloves, I didn't use them and my hands were many interesting colours at the end of the session :)
