Cream card stock brayed with one of my oldest inks Impress 'Old Rose'. Glossy card brayed with the same ink to create the background. Corrugated card (from a box of cat food) sprayed with dew drop glimmer mist. The lovely image was stamped with Grey versa mark & clear embossed then coloured with Pro-Markets. The best alphabet ever from Stamp bug for the white embossed Birthday while the B & brackets are metal 'we are memory keepers'.

Y is for

Yellow Daffodil. Its Y over at Linda's Alphabet Challenge just one more letter to go.

Have not made a fat book page for a while topped this one with stampboard coloured of course in yellow and an old Do Crafts Marie Curie stamp.

Tanda Teaser - 117 Text

Sue set this weeks Tanda Teaser looking for text of some kind as part of the image or background, the sentiment does not count!

Joanna Sheene paper and the same image from a Butterfly kisses stamp. Lots and lots of inking and distressing even a crumpled piece of paper! scary. Dispite the butterfly and ladies face the card has a very masculine feel.

Another Mask

Had considered entering the Craft Stamper compertition this year but no time now to make the other 2 pieces so am free to share this with you all.

Acrylic paint paint layered with freehand stamp and gold embossing, altered glue, fantasy film and fiber with floral, butterfly and dragonfly stamps. Ribbon gems a self adhesive pearl, false lashes and a couple of feathers. Right time to go do stuff so I can go play tomorrow.

Lots to do - September bird tag swap

The tag swap at Lots to do this month is for tags that include birds. Hilda is the lovely and lucky person who organises the swap, lucky because she gets to see everyone's beautiful work.

This is my set for the month with a Kellogs cockral from Basic grey, a flock of birds from clarity stamps and the little hummingbird from an old much loved stamp. Different colouring techniques will not bore you with all the details.

Friday, 25 September 2009

Last Friday in September so this is the last Moo for Something completely different. The idea is to incorporate the A B C on your Moo. Lots of inking and an opportunity to use a couple of little stamps that dont get out much. Holographic embossing powder and direct to paper with blending pads.
Off to Ally Pally on Sunday so got to fit a whole week-ends worth of HW and playing into Saturday. Worth it thought think of all the fun there will be on Sunday meeting a special crafting friend and looking at all the goodies not just for myself but for other friends who cannot make it to the show.
If you are going on Saturday leave something for the rest of us! & have fun.

Allsorts - Snowflakes in September

It is not often that I use printed design papers but last year Dovecraft came out with a lovely set of papers one of which is the base of this card, glitter glue has been added for a few highlights. The snowflake is diamenson paste stencilled onto a spirella round which has a little spirella thread wrapped around.

A quick and easy Christmas card to enter into this weeks Allsorts challenge.

SCD - Metal Moo

Something completely different this week continues with Moos (2.7cm x 7cm) such small objects to decorate without making it look over done. This week the challenge is to incorporate metal in your piece.

The stamped image is Crafty individuals heat embossed with Red Green and Black powder. Metal scraps from previous projects embossed with a Walnut Hollow wheel and trimmed to mirror the leaves on the image a thin piece sideways mirrors a stalk and the curl is a curl scrap added for interest. All metal attached with glossy accents.

Lots to do Tag(s)

Lots to do Sam has come up with a lovely idea this week. One of the challengers Neet recently made a house for her Tags, Sam thought it would be a good idea if this week we all made Tag(s) and if we want to donate them to Neet to help her fill her house.

So Neet if you would like this tag which is 4.5" x 2.5" or thereabout, you will be most welcome my email address is on my profile drop me a line telling me where to send it.

The Tag is made of glossy card that has been brayer with the shaft of light technique. A stencil has been used with silver diamension paste over a mask of the owl. the owl is much loved in Blog land and was a Craft Stamper cover stamp earlier this year it has been coloured with Pro Markers. Love it when an idea works.

X if for kisses - RSS 5

X is for kisses, this week its X over at Alphabet Challenge There are 9 offerings in my little Collin gem one of which is X another is Xmas, not the most common first letter of a word then.

Ready steady stamp this fortnight have challanged their followers to make something using a pvc glue resist technique, green, flowers & butterflies, lace and buttons. Great combination again Isa & Kiki thank you. So this would work except for one small detail the card is a bit cute and RSS bans cute! How often do you see cute here?

love the little forever friends stamp but think the glue was still a bit wet so ted has a bit of a green belly. Lime green glimmer mist on the cream card and white lace. Purple card stamped with SU Fresh cuts you cannot see on the picture but the flower on the right has been picked out with Sakura. Fantasy film butterfly and three buttons sawn.

Yep Isa rejected it, hay ho.

Tanda Teaser - 116 In the Wild

Wendy's turn to set the Tanda Teaser this week with a wild theme. Thank you Wendy right up my street.

Used two great stencils and the third wood stamp for the background. The Lion and paw marks are, of course, Tanda stamps, anyone get those great little alphabet sets for £1 last year? so useful on occassions like this.

Lots to do - Watercolour

Lots to do this week is all about watercolour. So many directions to go with this one, take a look at all the different ideas folks have come up with for it.

Its my cousins birthday in a week, its OK she does not even know I have a blog so can share this with you all first.

Ripped a piece of watercolour paper to roughly A6 size, stamped it with a little clare image in Lightening black as well as an old butterfly, fixed both with a heat gun. Scribbled a blue sky and some green grass, more carefully added yellow, orange and red to the flowers and butterfly moved the pigment into place with a waterbrush.

A sheet of 'in my minds eye' provided the backing paper and the flower embelishments on the sentiment. Sentiment heat embossed in orange. Hope she likes it.

SCD - circles

Week two of Something Completely Different month of moos. The theme this week is circles, interesting idea on something as small as these.

Not sure about these two have used the stash of pre-cut shapes to include circles outside the actual moo. My dauber duos might be about 9 years old but they are still juicy used on their own they make lots of great little circles teamed with Basic Grey different strokes stamps. Stamping given clear ep to set them.

Not got a lot of time this week-end but might come back with something else have an idea and if theres time will see if it works.

Lots to do - Tissue and Tanda Monochrome

Thank you Lesley for inspiring me to do this piece. If you can do it I can at least try. The challange this week on Lots to do is to use tissue there is craft tissue available but not in this stash so an ordinary tissue has been sprayed with Glimmer mist and Cosmic Shimmer and popped into a cooling oven to help it dry.
A piece of card cut to Skinny size (3" x 5") was partially run through the bug with the bubble folder and given a decorative corner punch. The small sun from Scenescape set 1 has been stamped onto a 1" square adding both a face and an inchie to the piece. Once dry the tissue was stamped with Tanda dolphins, the tissue split into thin single sheets and the images cut out to be modge podged onto the skinny. Little pieces of blue ribbon have been stuck on with glue and brads to simulate waves. The whole lot has been layered onto a darker blue backing card also cut to skinny size.
It just happens that the Tanda Teaser this week (set by Sue ) is Monochrome, perfect.
You may have noticed the attention to listing all the elements? Well there is a swap going on over at Lots to do forum that requires Monochrome, An inchie, a face, some embossing and a brad on one each of A skinny, an arch and an atc. the Arch and atc are still in the planning stage. And its Wednesday what could be better?

Just because

Love this body cream in a variety of flavours but what to do with the tubs when emptied? Far to nice to just bin even into the recycling bin so i save them to keep bits and pieces in, but not very pretty left like that so am going to start 'doing them up'. This is the first liberally daubed with Alcohol ink,and the top of the lid covered with crackle graze (it did not crack). The leaf is in metal which was stamped on the reverse and the image drawn over with an embossing tool and the vains drawn in. The metal piece is then worked from the right side with the various TSS tools and finally cut out. A piece of wire has been wrapped round the edge of the lid and then swirled over the leaf on top a second piece has been attached coming over the top of the lid and then 'woven' back. More crackle over the wires to just help hold it in place.

No idea what to store in it, perhaps Kanban die cut leaves .....

Foam backed stamp with a country coach scene stamped and water coloured. The wood background is another Tanda special Andrew is threatening to release a new set based on my odd requests.

SCD - Black and Gold

Something completely different has started its September challenges which are MOOs tiny little pieces you can fit 3 onto an atc!(well almost) they are 2.7cm x 7cm. For the first week in September the challenge is to use Black and Gold such a great combination and a joy to work with this week.

cut a piece of black card to size and then a piece of pattened gold card slightly smaller glue to black. cut a piece of acatate to go on top and add gold gilding flakes to the reverse. Stamp image in stayzon on front and fix with a black brad.

Me thinks this is an embellishment for the top left corner of a black and gold themed card.

Tanda Teaser - 114 Holiday Fun

Get the feeling Wendy does not want summer to end and has chosen Holiday Fun as this weeks Tanda Teaser . Given how wet and stormy it has been over the last couple of days feels like wishful thinking but nice to continue to work with summer colours and feel.

Have used Sue's great Clarice Cliffe style stamps for this with a base background of the cork stamp Andrew made up for me. The cork stamp image was stamped with Cats eye chalk and Potion No 9 the polymar is now a lovely mixture of colours much brighter than those on the card! Images stamped with versamark mark, one of my oldest inkpads still going strong, and coloured with Pro Markers. Quick and easy but great fun.
