Stampman Challenge Tags

Ventured to the shops today, the local Garden Centre looking for Christmas Decorations marked down that could be altered, struck out there but they did have some knockout wall pieces a couple were smaller than 3' but most exceeded that by 2' or 3' and were stunning.  Two of them were full size guitars woven with musical scores all made out of metal the curves and diamension of these pieces blew me away.   Seeing them led directly to this tag for the The Stampman Challenge

Chocolate coloured card, Dreamweaver stencil and embossing paste. Small stamps from Aspects of Design set gold embossed on the card and larger stamps on heat resist acatate and attached to the card with brads adding movement to the tag. Just a few small gold flat gems dotted around. So many ideas are being generated by the pieces I saw today guess there is more to come. & no i didn't buy one LOL

A Birthday Card

A new year a new round of Birthday's and we all know what that means time to get out stamps and colours other than Christmas.

Found a little sketch at Oldie but a Goodie works with some ribbon don't you think. The main stamp is a firm favorite and several years old now stamped and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer. The sentiment, 'We grow not older with the years but newer everyday' is another older stamp that certainly has its uses. Just few paper flowers and gems to finish off.

Compass and Anchors

Allsorts of things brought this canvas togather, a love of sunsets the sun makes a great basic compass.    Rope from my days with a boat sales business used it to practice splicing a skill not likely to be needed in the future.   Love this pair of anchors and the compass which also comes in a pair just used the smaller one here.   They are more of Di's fabulous Tando chipboard.

Acrylics used to paint the canvas and then ferro paste added for greater texture, Glamour dust blown over while the paint was still wet..   The compass painted with Inka Gold and then gold crako.   Anchors sprayed with GM and then a layer turquoise Crako paste followed by copper Crako paste and finally some Viva metallic paint.    For the finishing touch the whole canvas was sprayed with more Glimmer Mist.

Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas

Its been another fabulous year here in blog land so many fun challenges and exciting things happening.   Meeting some of the nicest people around always ready with a kind supportive word and encouragement.   Thank you all and wishing you all the most fabulous time this festive season, I'll be back before year end LOL

Had to be a challenge here somewhere and its another Gingersnaps one a colour challenge this time the colours being Snow, Pine and Mahogany.

The ivy leaves, snowflakes & icicles were given to me a couple of years back. The other silk leaves and the autumn fruits were left over from another project earlier in the year as was the actual wreath base. More leaves were created in metal coloured with alcohol inks and grunge paper coloured with DI. Just a little festive fun.

CofC #25

Scribble stain distress the details of which can be found on page 34 of Mr Holtz's Compendium of Curosities.    The technique picked this fortnight for her fabulous TH technique challenge For December the challenge has been fortnightly making it last that little bit longer! Gonna be sad when it does come to an end but I'm sure Linda will have some plan to replace it.

This tag has been made using the scribble stain distress technique with DI and my one and only reinker which I had to open for this exercise LOL   The stamps are all foambacked from QVC, bright eyes curtsey of Glossy Accents.

Sorry Sam more pink, does it help that the other colour is green? LOL

Pink Alert

Well the Christmas card making stamps and papers are packed away for another year so this really is the last one I'll make in 2010.

Decided to have a little fun and make this snowman Pink!   White base card with pink and a little blue DI.   Some 'in my minds eye' paper with a ripped edge greeting stamped and embossed in cosmic shimmer pink.   The same pink used on this smashing snow man and touches of sparkly sakura pens.

As with my last two Christmas cards inspiration came from Gingersnaps this time the challenge is their Chestnut theme challenge, Snowpeople LOL. He really is a smart snowman even in pink.

Tando Birdhouse

This little birdhouse box was great fun to decorate and slot togather.  It is of course a Tando chipboard box. You can buy Tando chippie at Bubblyfunk and Angel Crafts and Craft Barn for inspiration check out the Tando blog

For this box the walls were stamped with a woodgrain stamp that Andrew at Tanda Stamps made for me it really came into its own here. The walls were then painted with watered down acrylic paint and the front tabs hole punched to take a small wooden dowel. The sides were then glued to the bottom. For the tile effect roof the scollop edge was traced down each side in black pan, once again watery Acrylic was painted over and when that was dry ProMaster cool grey #4 marked out the patten again. There is a pair of hinges holding the two roof parts togather. Once assembled wire stemed paper flowers decorate the front and some Reindeer moss is poking out of the hole in the front. Finally some distress is achieved with Viva Craco on the walls and Viva ferro on the roof.   Makes a useful little storage box.

Lots to do - Favourite card this year

WOW very nearly the end of 2010 and what a year its been.   Do you remember January we had snow then I think and certainly had some in February.   Between snow showers so much has happened lots of good things, some not so good and some sad but that is the way of things.

Thank you to everyone who has followed our promts and joined us at Lots to do this year. It remains one of my favourite challenge sites and its been a privilage to be part of the team thank you Hilda

This week our last challenge for 2010 (well next Saturday will be Christmas day!) we are inviting you to take a look back at your crafting year and sharing with us once again your favourite card of 2010 one that you made and for one reason or another are especially pleased with. A hard challange you might find, I did. Made a lot of tosh during the year but one or two nice pieces as well surprisingly fewer cards than I had thought. This one appeals to me because of the warm colours and layers of texture as well as the salt LOL here is the origional posting back in July.

Hope you enjoy looking back at your 2010 card makes and can find just one to share with us again. Lots to do will be back with you and with a new challange on Saturday 1st January 2011.

Gingersnaps - Polar Animals

Thank goodness for Gingersnaps and their December Challenges they are my inspiration for these last few cards. Just one to go after this and the they really and truely will be finished.

This one is based on Gingersnaps Randon Redhead Challenge to include Polar animals in your piece. They say your creatures can be from the north or south polar regions which as good as they are a little mixed here.

Vellum over card with a ribbon band over that. Nestie shapes as mat offset from topper, mat sprayed with silver spray and sparkle. Topper stamped and heat embossed, DI for background, Sakura for main images and once again white glitter in the white places.

White Glitter

Is it snowing where you are non here on the south coast - yet stay safe and warm if you can.

Been a while since making one of these 'spring' cards, but need a couple more Christmas cards always the way isn't it so here is the first of my last minute cards.

Gingersnaps challenges I've not joined in for a while have some fun Christmas themes running at the moment. This card is for their 'White Glitte' challenge. So hard to see in the picture but the penguins have white glitter fronts and of course on their hats and at their feet.

3 of a kind

These 3 little ATCs are for a swap that Sam is hosting at UK Stampers. Looking for an inky altered forum and knowing Sam to be a member checked the forum out very talented group of peeps and very welcoming.

Used some Machine stamps, DI and assorted metal elements three of each kind on each ATC hard to see on the one with ribbon but they are there.

N O

Completed the November/December post cards for the Lots to do revisited swap today.

N is for napkin art, just a little bit of a wine theme going on here

O is for oriental and origami purists might object to origami as the papers were not square, but they were folded.

Lots to do - A little Glitz

Double digits today just two weeks to go and judging by the supermarket yesterday there are some great festive feasts being prepared.

Lots of words for our Lots to do words challenge last week. We appreciate everyone who joins in and delight in visiting each week to see what you have made.

This week the theme is a little bit of Glitz so bit of glitter some sparkle how about some bling. It's your project your choice. I used Sakura Sparkly pens for Santa's suite and in the puff paint for his beard and fur trim sprinkled Glamour Dust hard to see in the picture but it is there. Santa was masked before he was coloured and given a DI backdrop over stamped and embossed with WOW.

Something Completely Different have a month of tags and have asked to see our favourite Christmas Character. Well for me its the cheeky chappy and this is probably my favourite stamp depicting him.

Drunken Stampers have challenged us to make Tags this week hope they like this one!

CofC #24

Gosh it is still so cold its draining don't you find?

Started the job hunt again not really expecting much to happen this side of Christmas but hay that gives me time to craft and blog hop and catch up with you all (and maybe the ironing).

Playing then, during December Linda's challenge is being run fortnightly this fortnight the technique is Rock Candy Distress Stickles found on page 47 of Compendium of Curiosities. Thought this would work quite nicely as a card.   Guess thats all I can say really.

Dragon's Dream Tag it on

A first for me joining Dragon's Dream Have know about it since I started blogging but for one reason or another never played! This week however with a little time to play made this tag.

It is a collage of lots of different stamps reflecting the  theme of Time Flies toward Christmas.   Well it certainly does less than 3 weeks now.   Guess you can see there was stamping masking overstamping colouring.   Not so clear the squirt of GM and Glamour dust.

Last day at work today so better crack on.

Tanda 160 - Ladies only

Do you know my good friend Sue she sets the Tanda Teaser every fortnight, next one due on Wednesday. Sue also designs stamps for Tanda. We both also make good use of Tanda's bespoke stamp making service.   For the fortnight currently running the theme is Ladies only no chaps allowed on your project LOL

For my card Peacocks (& yes I know the pretty ones are all male) and peacocks colours set the scheme.   Black base card Tanda Art Deco Set 1 for the corner feather which was stamped in Perfect Medium and coloured with Perfect Pearls. Sue's Mack Set 2 provided the Lady who was stamped onto glossy card and embossed with WOW very fine gold. Getting a lot more out of these WOW powders now and yes Sam I do reccommend them now the very fine and the Pearlescent especially. The head and front of the lady were masked Big & Juicy Waterfall brayered over the glossy card, mask removed Skin tone and her outfit with ProMarkers.   Spent ages faffing around with the black corner wanted to use a We R Memory Makers button which seemed to work well with fibre's matched to the overall colour scheme.

This week Hilda is back with us. we also have a great challenge for you take it Christmas as I have or if you are Christmassed out take it in a different direction completely. All we want to see are words, well images as well but the theme is Words.

I'm still making Christmas cards at every opportunity this time using a Clarity stamp one of Barbara's 'Night before Christmas' set stamped with WOW powders getting to like these now and coloured with Sakura pens. Papers in my minds eye and DCWV. Reindeer little wooden embellishments from a couple of years ago thickly embossed with more of the WOW powders.

If you have time with all the final Christmas arrangements we hope you will join us we love visiting and seeing your great makes, on the subject of great makes check out Lots to do and see what the girls have made.

SCD - December Tags with Trees

Sorry no idea what has been happening but if you just saw a title and not post here it is.

Still house bound with the snow but think the thew has started at least here on the southcoast.   Been nice to have a couple of days off but after that it gets expensive LOL

Pleased to say my Mojo seems to be firing up again helped in no small part by the new challenge from Something Completely Differnt A new month, a new format and challenge. For December its Tags and this week Tags with trees.

Cut my tag to fit in an embossing folder, once the tree was inprinted on the tag it was blended with a combination of blue, green, yellow, orange DIs. As SCD are hoping for Christmas trees the leaves of this tree were then coloured with sparkly Sakura. Pennyblack birds and sentiment stamped in Vintage Photo on the lower half of the tag and highlighted with more sparkly sakura. Organza ribbon to add a bit of glamour.

No card sure there will be one later but for now

Thank you to everyone who has made it to work over the last couple of days in the snow.   Without you we would not have the things we just take for granted.    Our local shop is open no bread very little milk but the staff are there and so are the customers.  We have heat light and power the TV and Radio are broadcasting, even the essential services like QVC and Create and Craft LOL.   We take so much for granted and if those of you who are working had not made the effort we would be clueless so THANK YOU.

Me well my temping role finishes on Tuesday so perhaps my motivation is down the pan LOL

Steampunk hearts

The frame for this came from a charity shop back in May it has been sitting on top of the bookcase waiting to be altered. On Saturday meeting up with Di the Boss lady at Tando she gave me the new small heart cog set to play with. Well within about an hour this basic design was clear in my mind. Sorry if I was a bit distracted Di my imagination was working overtime but not letting me in on the secret!

My other question was how will the chipboard do in an embossing folder? Well the answer to that is that it works just great. Once embossed the shapes were coloured with Nick Bantock inks, rub and buff then used to highlight the raised areas. A while back I dismantled a wind up clock parts of which have been used here front and back. Some buttons, pearls, feathers, wire and ribbon completed the alteration.

Penny Black @ Allsorts - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Sorry about the hiccup a couple of days ago thought I had things scheduled whoops. Finally it is 1st December and the start of the Advent Countdown it is very nearly Christmas. When our December http://pennyblackatallsorts.blogspot.com/ challenge ends the Christmas festivies will be over and plans will be well in hand for the New Year. The first decade of the 21st Centenary is almost in the past, now there's a thought.

Enough! on with the challenge. We were delighted that so many people found us and shared their Christmas makes with us, thank you we hope you will join us again and maybe bring your friends along.

December then and your idea of beauty as expressed by Penny Black Stamps. Still making Christmas cards really should have started sooner hay ho. For this card I used plain hammered card blended with stormy sky and chipped sapphire 'for peace 3734F' stamped in black soot and squirted with water.   Snowflake punch in corners punched bits saved to stick around the card.   Topper cut with nestie on silver mirra card and more hammered card stamped with 'Now & Always 3515H' in Chipped Sapphire with Stormy Sky blended at edge.

Pop over to http://pennyblackatallsorts.blogspot.com/ to see all beautiful things the team have made.

Lots to do - Embossing

While this last week has not been any quieter, visiting the Lots to do entries last week think I learnt a new technique or two thank you.  One of the many wonderful things about our caring sharing art movement is just that you are all such wonderful sharing peeps.

So this week the theme for our challeng is Embossing.   I've used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and grunge.  Now there is not a lot more I can tell you about that because this is also my entry to Linda's Compendium of Curiosities #23 Double Distress challenge.    Can tell you that Shabby Shutters and Vintage photo were used.     The stamps are from Creative Expressions stamped with Timber brown stayzon.

There are so many ways you can emboss paper, acetate or any craft project looking forward as always to seeing how  you respond to us this week at Lots to do

Tuesday Tagger - Make a Decoration

Hi Tuesday has come round very quickly, here we are again the first day of another Tuesday Taggers challenge.

With Christmas preparations well underway many people have finished their card making! Not me I confess but getting there. Anyway back to Tuesday Taggers this week we are asking you to make a decoration.

Mine is an Advent calendar, well dial made with a Tando set it is shown here from 3 angles.   Canvas coloured first with B&J and then sprayed with Cosmic Shimmer, Glimmer Mists and Crafty notions.  It looked so good a firm tone was needed for the chipboard and blocks to be added.   While the paint was drying the snowflake and spinner were covered with gilding flakes.   The two tree outers and the dial were coloured with Viva Inca Gold in Lava Red Gold Green and Gold, the reindeer was coloured with the green and given golden antlers.   It was also stamped and gold ep used on the body.  The two tree inners were given a covering of green glitter.   The three blocks (thank you Hilda) were painted with Promarkers, a cake decoration was glued to the front after they were attached to the canvas.   Tando do make a set of Advent numbers but with the dial face partly through a tree they would not work in this case so a set of stickon numbers were coloured with Lava Red and used on the dial.    Lots of gems have been dotted around and glitter use on the block were the dial and tree are glued.   The snowflake is held in place by a band of acetate keeping it proud of the canvas and with added movement.

Lots of different decorations to be seen over at Tuesday Taggers. This is also my last week as part of the Design Team there it has been a lot of fun and I've met many talanted crafters going round seeing all the fabulous responses to each weeks challenges.
Something completely different are looking for projects with numbers this week, there are a few numbers on this piece which is entered in their challenge. Which will also appear on the Tando blog later in the week.

Lots to do - Favourite Technique

Saturday morning and another week-end whoopie its sad really when I was out of work getting this temping opportunity was and still is great but now routine has kicked in and by Friday afternoon I'm counting the hours LOL.

This week at Lots to do Hilda suggested we share our favourite techniques and ask you to do the same. Easy right we all have a favourite? Why then have I spent week wrackiing my brains about this?

Firstly and fundamentally I'm a rubber stamper at least in paper crafting terms so rubber stamping is the obvious choice. Thats the easy part now which stamps on what and why. The last page of the Lots to do Revisited forum has been waiting, the prompt is Arsnic and Old Lace. Technique and subject all that remained was the making of it. Stamped the chap onto my 5" square and masked him, blended the board with DI, removed mask and coloured him with Promarkers with some glossy accents on his hair and shoes.  Pearlised card punched with MS deep edge punch down both sides and attached over image so he can peep through the trellis. Lady stamped onto basic grey paper front and back cut both out so that the coloured side could be used as her dress. A little off white lace gathered into a little rosette pearls stitched into the middle. Finally some Perfect Pearls poured into a little bottle and attached to the front of the lace.  Not a bad way to start the week-end.

Got a favourite technique, hope you'll pop over to Lots to do and share it with us.

21st Birthday card and news

Card first LOL

One if my colleagues, Ella, is Polish and it is her younger sisters 21 birthday in Decmber.   Having made the engagement card for her it was impossible to refuse when she asked me to make her sisters birthday card.    Ella is on the left as you look at their picture.   Fiddled and faffed getting prints of the picture off the computer the rest well just the usual.   The numbers were coated with WOW puff ep jurys out on this still.    Cuttlebug folders MS punch some pretty lace and flowers from QVC to match the girls dresses.    Ella loves it and the Polish greeting inside.

The news oh yes

You know how much i enjoy using Di's Tando chippie? Well Di had a DT call
not for a challenge blog but to peeps to create things using her fab product and invited me to join the team. If you pop over to the design blog you will find links to all the DT and see their work on the Tando blog.
Why not visit

Sorry blogger published early!

The wall hanging from yesterday is made using the Tando jigsaw set and there is lots more in the planning.

CofC # 22

My entry for Linda's great fun weekly challenge based on TH's Book. This week is all about Alcohol Ink splatter you'll have to look on page 52 to see the how to. but I don't have a can of air so had to improvise.

Suspect my choice of colours might be a bit dark not sure. Love the way the matallic lifted when heat was applied and how it resisted the archival ink. Am using this for my 9th page in the Lots to do revisited forum Grunge page swap, the prompt for this one is going postal.

Tuesday Tagger - A project based on a word, Peace, Joy, or Love

Another week gone if I have not visited you recently can only say very sorry things are settling down again now just got to concentrate on Christmas! Guess we are all doing that busy time for us crafters with presents to make as well as cards, decorations not to mention the table.

With Christmas in mind the fabulous Janet one of the founders of Tuesday Taggers set this week's theme. We have all been busy with our projects based around one of the following words Peace, Joy or Love. Do pop over to the Challenge site and see the great projects the team have come up with.

Have chosen to use the word Joy, needed a three letter word as there are just 3 jigsaw pieces in Tando set. Jigsaw pieces coloured with Viva Inka Gold in Lava Red. Letters coloured with green gold then stamped and embossed in gold with little holly leaves. The star, also Tando, coloured with silver paint. My favourite holly stamp stamped and embossed on Grungepaper, cut out and then coloured with Pro Markers. Jigsaw pieces hinged togather with brads a couple more brads and some self adhesive gems and some red wire to make the hanger.

Which of the words will you chose for your project and what will it be? Looking forward to seeing what you share with us at Tuesday Taggers this week.

CofC # 21

Linda's weekly challeng using different techniques from TH's A Compendium of Curiosities is another not to be missed. It runs for a week from Monday so this is just under the wire but 'Perfect Distress' gives such a lovely results so mojo or no mojo time or no time (the ironing can always wait) this little tag then was for pleasure.  The technique is explained on page 38 of the book.

Alternative heading Full Metal Jacket
Something Completely different are just giving us a subject this month no format make what ever we want to include what ever the weeks theme is Wings.

Last week was houses and I missed it determined not to miss this week or any more in the near future LOL.    Would you believe it one of the pages for the Lots to do grunge book swap is full Metal Jacket and I've been playing with this page for a couple of weeks now. Von liked it and suggested distressing the wings, a little black pastel has done the job nicely. all pages due with me tomorrow and I've just 2 to make I'm not panicing...

Lots to do - Friends/Friendship

What a week, don't think I've recovered fully from the Nec last Sunday and another busy week at work my craft mojo went into hiding hoping that comes back this week-end.

Lots of fabulous Autumn colours around in blogland last week great to see thank you all.

This week at Lots to do we're all about Friends and Friendship. It was great meeting up with Alison and Hilda last Sunday two lovely girls and great friends, so we are celebrating friendship. A theme to take anyway you fancy and those two have done brillient things with it.

As mentioned Mojo went awol so this is a card I made about 3 weeks ago for another blogland friend who was very poorly and in hospital. Here in the UK we used to take a bunch of grapes with us when visiting family and friends in hospital. Visiting this time was a few thousand miles and a stretch water known as the pond out of the question. Stamped and embossed the grapes into grunge paper and coloured them with Promarkers and cut the image out.    The image is also stamped onto the first mat and the topper stuck with silcone of differing thickness to give it diamension.

How will you celebrate your friendships?  we are looking forward to seeing your projects.

Tuesday Taggers - Silver Gold and Purple

Thanks to those of you who joined in our Oriental Tuesday Taggers challenge last week real pleasure to visit and see your work.

This week Ildiko has picked our theme. The challenge is a colour one using Silver, Gold and Purple as well as some sort of stamping.

I've gone back to making Christmas cards this one an easel card, glossy card brayered with B&J Mountain Meadow. Three kings stamped in black and clear embossed. Kings coloured with ProMarkers mostly purple and some gold and silver, the camal rug on the nearest camel has been filled with gold and silver leaf. Star also stamped in black and partly filled with silver leaf. Base coloured with DI swirl stamped and embossed in silver.

Not a common combination Silver and Gold but it works and can look outstanding check out the rest of the teams samples and join the challenge at Tuesday Taggers

Christmas Traditions - Sir Stampalot

You may just have noticed that things don't repeated a lot round here, its my short attention span and low boredom threshold.  It means that all the Christmas cards are different.

This one was made with a Dreamweaver Stencil and chalks.   A Greeting that has been in my stash for ages, some ribbon tied in a bow.   Scolloped nestie touched with gold on the edges and stamped with a PB image.   A few star shaped gems to finish.

Well if they are all gonna be different quick and simple is important.    This is my entry for Sir Stampalot November challenge which is Christmas Traditions.

Lots to do - Autumn Colours

You already know about the fabulous day last Saturday at Sir Stampalot. This is the 4th card we made, well started in my case and then finished here. Brenda who designed the sample we worked from has said that its OK to use it here as my sample for Lots to do

Lots of stamps were used in the making of this card they were added in layers, but first we applied DI to the base card and then a little blast of GM then the stamps, the top of which was clear embossed. The edge was then treated to matallic dabbers. Suspect there are some ideas here I'll use again LOL.

Our theme this week then at Lots to do is Autumn Colours, still lots of inspiration on the trees still and a lovely pile of dry leaves earlier yesterday (before it rained) just round the corner. Looking forward to seeing what you make of our challenge this week.

Lynns Blog Candy

There are so many blog candy draws it must be a full time job keeping track of them all, generally I don't but.    Lynn is a very special lady one of the most talented artists in blogland and very generous. Her candy is special, just like her work so its a no brainer. If you enter good luck.

CofC #20

Industrial Grunge to be found on page 54 of the book is Linda's technique for the challenge this week. Great fun to do but what had me wondering to do for the challenge this week. The wings are Sizzix perfect for some grunge board AI mixatives and DI and generally roughing up. After that just needed something to hang them on, using watercolour pencils I've drawn a rough sketch of a man's back more interesting than a woman's back I thought LOL.

To find out more about the technique you'll need to check the book or visit TH's site. To enter the challenge and there are always fabulous prizes visit Linda to find out how.

SCD - Blue and Red

October has been and gone, Something Completely Different set a colour challenge each week in October that last set on Friday is Red and Blue, not any old Red but Claret! Seems these are the colours of football club.

Most of the cards I'm making lately are Christmas cards (yesterday's non Christams being the exception LOL), this is one of my favorite Santa images stamped on white paper and clear embossed, coloured with Promarkers, white puff paint used on his hat, pompom and beard.    The Swirl embossed with Cosmic shimmer is by Hero Arts picked it up on Saturday.  Well you didn't think I went to Sir Stampalot and came away without buying something did you?

Last years Papermaina vellum with Christmas greetings snow flakes punched out glitter glue used to hold it in place punched snowflakes dotted around card.   Red glitter follows the lines of the swirls at the top.

Tuesday Tagger - Taste of the Orient

Good morning Tuesday again already!   Well it was a great week-end with the workshop on Saturday.  One of the lovely people there was my Tuesday Taggers teamie Sally great to meet you at last and see you magic at work in real life.

Well Halloween is now behind us and Christmas is looming! Time to do something different and have a break from all the seasonal stuff! Can you guess who chose this weeks theme? yep yours truely and well don't we all need a little break from Christmas cards? I love Oriental and mizuhiki cord only wish there was more time to get better at tying it.

The knot here is Kame Musubi (Turtle knot) The Turtle in Japan symbolizes a long life.   The Gashi is a Tanda stamp from one of their 4 Eastern sets.   Whisper pens in Black, Yellow and Red directly onto the stamp stamped and embossed with holograhic ep.   The little topper mat was first cut with a plain oval nestie, Tanda bamboo in black round the edge and then Viva Inca Gold rubbed on the edge.   The whole topper was then covered with clear versa mark and clear ep melted over it a couple of times.   Must remember to use tweezers and stop burning my fingers.   A strip of oriental paper (Papermania I think) down the center gives a background to the work and seems to help bring it forward.

The team have made some lovely samples this week please go and take a look we hope it will inspire you to dust off your Oriental crafting stamps, papers and materials and share your Oriental themed work with us at Tuesday Taggers

Penny Black @ Allsorts - It's begining to look a lot like Christmas

1st of the month, time for a new challenge at Penny Black at Allsorts. It's a great month this November with lots of new faces joining the Design Team hope you'll check the site out and see all their fab work.

The theme this month is Christmas, well we are all getting on with our Christmas cards now so it only seems fair to help you with an easy challenge. Time then to look at your Penny Black Christmas stamps and see you can do with them.

Not being into cute, actually not sure what or how to do it I chose 'Wish for peace' slapstick set 40-030. Stamped in black and embossed with holographic ep and then coloured with promarkers and a little puff paint. Image cut with a Nestie and edged with DI. The red and vellum mats came from my stash. The sentiment 'A wish for peace' stamped and embossed in gold ep also from the same Penny Black set.

So here is my non cute card hope you are going to join in with us and share your Penny Black Christmas with us Penny Black at Allsorts , don't forget there are prizes every month for the lucky winners.

Sir Stampalot workshop

Had a great time yesterday at a workshop led by my great blog buddy Brenda and new blog buddy Chris The workshop at Sir Stampalot is a wonderful light airy place to work so well equiped well worth a visit if you get the opportunity. Still a bit confused why it took 2.5 hours to drive 160 miles but given an average of 60 mph it stacks up.

Anyway these are 3 of the 4 cards we made, my colour choice for the 4th means it needs finishing here at home. The two Christmas cards were designed by Chris if you visit her site you'll see she loves to use buttons she has a great big box full and we all chose buttons for our chrissie tree cards, you cannot see them here they are hidden by the tree at the front. Brenda introduced Alcohol ink and acetate to a couple of the girls including Chris who fell in love with it and created a wonderful piece of acetate with it. We used it on the back of stamped acetate and then layered a torn page and crumpled tin foil behind it.

a great day will try to get back up for another of the girls workshops.

Lots to do - Halloween

Shaped cards are lots of fun and there are so many fun funky shapes you can use and the peeps who joined in with Lots to do last week had some fab easel and other shaped cards on display, thank you all.

This week, well this is Halloween eve so what else could it be so comeon and show us your spooky side.

Here I've used purple and orange card, stamps by Inkadinkado, Basic Grey and Tanda.    Acatate and corragated card.    Cut an apature in the orange card and squares in corragated and acatate to fit behind.     The birds stamped onto the acatate with permanent ink and attached with black brads 'hidden' behind the cutout flaps.    Spider webs, cat and word stamped and embossed with black sparkly ep on purple card.   Stamps lined up on orange card and stamped to overlay and again embossed.

So to all our friends out there to the west hope you enjoy your Halloween celebrations this is to wish you fun.   Hope you will pop along to Lots to do and share your Halloween makes with us.

Tanda Teaser - Funky Feathers

Its the birthday of one of the girls at work this week this is the card I made for her.

Pennyblacks 'Chicky night' stamped coloured with Promarkers and cutout.   Plain card with the greeting stamped and embossed near the bottom.  Brightly coloured feathers stuck behind the chicks.   Claire claims each of the chicks is her in one guise or another LOL

Feathers oh yes this fortnight the Tanda Teaser is funky feathers. This then is one of those odd occassions when NO TANDA STAMPS were inked in the making of my entry.

This week Linda has pointed us at page 61 of TH's book. On this page you will find directions for the technique 'Extreme Masking'. We are asked not to tell you what we actually do you need to check TH's site for that.

Not having any block masks had to cut my own star shapes. Ummm off to NEC in a week think I might have to look for some other shapes.

Tuesday Tagger - Deep Purple Halloween !!!

You showed us nursery rhymes last week I do not remember at all! Great to see all your fabulous takes on the theme you are so creative and imaginative very inspiring for all of us thank you for playing.

Hope you are all enjoy this weeks theme chosen by our E A Poe fan Lyn aka BlackDragon. No one else could have selected our theme this week but Lyn and her fasination with all things goth and witty take on it. We are looking then for your makes with a Halloween theme and they must include Deep Purple. So spooky it is looking forward to seeing what you do.

This little mask came from Craft Barn who are our sponsor this week. Don't forget to pop a link to them in your post.

Well a mask had to be my make for this week, primed with white gesso and then painted with white acrylic. Mixed my own purple with red, blue and black paint for shadows on the skull and eyesockets and to mark out the teeth two if which were painted gold. Various flowers attached with brads and glue and a few teardrop running down the face. 6" square of basic grey paper with TH web mask over it painted with the same purple and then wiped with a baby wipe, mask removed more flowers and a cuttlebug spider coloured purple attached. The whole attached to 6" square of card to make a wall hanging.

So what will you make and share with us at Tuesday Taggers this week?
